What is the River of Life?
Celebrating it’s 12th season during the summer of 2018, the River of Life Ministry provides a place of worship and reflection in the Nantahala Gorge.
Where does the River of Life Meet?
Located at the corner of the Nantahala River and Appalachian Trail the River of Life gathers on the porch of Big Wesser BBQ & Brew pub, overlooking the beautiful Nantahala River.
When does the River of Life Meet?
River of Life meets each Sunday at 8:30 a.m. during the peak summer season, starting Memorial Day and going through September. We will take a break during the colder winter seasons, but stay in touch through river trips, our Facebook page, and mission trips to Haiti.
What is the River of Life’s Connection with Haiti?
Because our ministry has been borne out of the water, all donations and tithings go to providing fresh water to the people of Haiti. Over the years, the people of River of Life have funded the building of over 20 community wells and have help fund teaching resources, in hopes of breaking the chains of malnutrition and cloera. We are also providing the water resources needed including wells, water tanks and plumbing needed a new hospital in northern, rural Haiti that will serve between 200,000-300,000 people.
